Not sure what to say?

Hey Joe, it's been one year already, just wanted you to know that we all miss and love you. We remembered how sad we all were last year this time, so they decided to have me a party and it just so happened that 8/6/05 was the only available date, i don't think that was a coincident at all. You would have loved it,i feel you were there in spirit. Your brother Roney said the party was great just one missing link,Burger. Joe we have so many years of wonderful memories of our lives together that...

On August 6, 2004 God called you home. Not a day goes by without missing you. I take solace in the fact that your pain and suffering has ended. Even in heaven I know that you are making angels laugh!
Your family loves you and misses you very much.

To Trena Brown and Family,
It took me a long time to find the right words to say but I came across this poem:
"God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again....

Dear Joe

Today you would be 57 years old. I remember how much fun we had last year celebrating your birthday. It is still hard for me to believe that I will never be able to touch you. But I see your face and I hear your voice and I know that you are still with us. Everyone misses you so, so much. I know that you have the angels laughing, telling your stories! I love you.
Your Wife

This is from NuNu, Joe's 6 year old great nephew. NuNu asked me if I could talk to Uncle Joe and tell him he misses him "a whole lot". NuNu said usually when he spends the night he and uncle Joe would be on the couch in the morning watching cartoons. He said that he knew that God had to take him to heaven because he was sick. But uncle Joe was "his very best friend in the whole world". NuNu said the next time I talked to uncle Joe to tell him what he said! So that's what I'm doing.

Trena Tiff and family.
May God keep you and give you comfort in your hour of need. Always know that I will be here for you.

Joe "Burger" Brown, my dearest friend, words can not truly express the loss I feel of you going home. However, I know you are better off than your last days here. I take solace in the memories of the life we lived. What a life, huh? Your family is my family and just like we were there for each other, I'll be there for them. I miss you Burger! Love Roney Boy!

Trena Brown & Family

Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God's Sunrise will break in upon us...showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace.
Luke 1:78-79

Remembering some pretty comical times with Joe and you, his smile and cool style will be remembered fondly and shall never leave us!

Heartfelt condolences to you Trena, Tiffany, Jayson, Joey & Don. Know, you all are not alone, prayers are going up.. and blessing...

Words can't express the sadness I feel, as you know Joe was truly my best male friend and my brother. I will miss his Sunday visits for dinner and our many conversations about what ever we felt like talking or debating about. I thank God for the many years Joe was with us,his spirit lives on through all that love him. You will truly be missed. Job well done Burger!
