I was saddened to read in the S.I. Advance that your father passed away. I remember him well. I met him forty years ago. That was when he walked you into my classroom on the first day of school. You were starting first grade in a new school. He wanted to make sure all went well on your first day. Your Dad was a very concerned ,kind, and involved parent. He was the one Dad who always volunteered to go on our class trips too.
