Not sure what to say?

Joe was a special and unique person! We became friends through our mutual love of Notre Dame football.I will never forget our trip to Las Vegas in 1988 to see Notre Dame play in the National Championship. They played West Virginia and won, I forgot the score but I will never forget how we both cried at the end! To this day at Resorts more than fifteen years after he left, Joe is still remembered through his nicknames for everyone and his special sayings! God Rest His Soul

Joe & I broke-in together a year after Resorts opened. When all of the break-ins would shake in their shoes from those maniac players and egotistical boxmen, Joe was always the tower of strength, never waivering.("The ocean's that way, sir, straight ahead.") Regardless of how he felt coming in to work physically, his mind was always a calculator. Joe Buckley and Paul Smith were the two I admired the most. Joe, your colorful humor and enigmatic outlook on life will be greatly missed.

Few are remembered as fondly or with an instant smile as soon as their name is mentioned. Joe had a language of his own; 26 years later, we still quote him! He will always be part of the Resort's Family. Reet

i worked with joe at the mgm and also we hung out after work once in awhile.we had a great trip to del mar racetrack that i'll always remember.he was a good man and a friend of mine.i'll miss him.my prayers are with his family

What i loved most about Joe was not his biting sense of humor,or his love of Notre Dame football, or his liking to have a good time, but that he acted the same way consistently, never wavering or bowing, never caring if someone loved him or hated him. I truly looked up to that. I will miss Joe and I can truly say that I loved him, One in christ Robin Trucksess and Teda Quinones

I enjoyed working with Joe,he was always there to help me when it was needed. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Joe, was a friend and the greatest boxman I ever worked with. He is sadly missed by many of us at the MGM.He was the biggest Notra Dame fan I ever knew. My God take good care of him.

Joe was a wonderful person and will be missed.

Can never watch a Notre Dame football game without thinking of Joe. I hope touchdown Jesus will watch over him. He was a great guy to work with and to know.
