One of my earliest memories of Uncle Joe is from a trip our family took back East to attend my Aunt Eileen's wedding and of course we were staying at the Buczynski house, and Uncle Joe came in singing on his way back from church. I was six years old and thought to myself this is a happy man, singing the way he was.

And when it was my aunt and uncle's turn to come out to California, my parents took them Polka dancing and I have to believe some drinking was involved. There are a lot of...
