Joseph Neely Burton

On my first day of drug court he made me feel welcome as I was nervous and did not want to be there. He made it easier to settle in. He was very nice and I know he´s in a better place now.

This is a tough time for many I'm very certain as it is for me. In reading Joe's statement about "dog earing" a book, I think of how he marked my life with his presence. Joe and I were good friends growing up and spent many weekends doing teenage boy stuff. We played monopoly, rode his go cart, played video games or just hung out. We always found entertainment in sharing time together. I didn't recognize then what a valuable friend he was but later learned good friends are a real treasure...
