So sorry for your loss Alice. I just found out. He was a great guy. Enjoyed working with him and hanging out with him for years. He will truely ne missed. What a sad loss. Im so so sorry...he is in heaven at peace...loved this guy. Ill never forget him..

I first met Joe in 1989. Though we both worked at the Fort, we were in separate organizations. Joe had a zest for life and often took the time to connect with strangers. Joe had but friends. He is with the Ages now, and will be missed. I kept putting off visits that I should not have, for Joe was there for me in times of need.

Joe was my rock when I worked at Fort Huachuca. We continued the friendship when I moved to Tucson and it breaks my heart that our busy lives let us drift away. He's been in my thoughts the last 2 weeks and I was devastated when I saw his picture in the paper that I didn't reconnect. Suffice it to say he has always been in my heart. Don't let time pass by without reconnect to those in your heart. You may not ever get the chance again. My prayers to Joe's family and circle of friends. ...

I share Al's feeling about Joe. I worked for Joe for many years and my heart is breaking right now for his family and many friends. This larger-than-life, red-headed Irishman from NYC had a zest for life that drew others to him. He was always laughing and joking and his Spanglish had us rolling in the aisles. He was a true friend to so many and never had a bad word to say about others. The world has lost a good man.Jean Hasse

Just looking at the photo of Joe brings back so many great memories. I worked with Joe at Ft Huachuca for over 15 years. He was always smiling, one of smartest and quick-witted persons I have ever known. If you ever met this wonderful person, you would never, ever, forget him. He was a New Yorker in the finest sense. My deepest sympathy and best wishes to his entire family.
