Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the Byrne family. I had the privilege to be a colleague of Joe during his tenure at Delone. He brought a spirit of optimism, enthusiasm and caring to both faculty and students. Simply put, he was a gentleman. My prayer is that your grief will be tempered by his life and the profound effect he has had on everyone who was fortunate enough to encounter him.

Joe was always one of my favorite cousins and as a member of the Byrne family, I had many of them.

As kids, Joe used to amuse me by standing on his head - something I could never do.

He grew into a wonderful man and obviously a fabulous teacher. That was obvious by the outpouring of students at his service on Saturday. Delone was lucky to have had him as he obviously influenced many young lives.

Joe will be sorely missed by many and my sympathy goes out to Patty,...

If there was one class that i have taken in the past 4 years at Delone that I remember best, it would have to be Sophmore english. I feel that i learned so much in that clas, not because of the material, but because of the teacher. Mr Byrne had to be the most down to earth teach that i have ever had. Everyday that i walked into his class he was always right there with a huge smile on his face. He never once degrated anyone and he knew that everyone had their own standards and own way of...

It is hard to put into words the feelings that come about from the loss of a great man. Being a student of Mr.Byrne I feel that I not only learned alot about English but also alot about life. My prayers go out to all family and friends of this truely inspiring man. He will be missed.

I always admired Mr. Byrne's enthusiasm. His love for teaching was only exceeded by his love for life.
Though my grammar may fail me, my ability to persevere will only strengthen through your example.

We will all miss Mr. Byrne very much. I had the privledge of having Mr. Byrne for sophomore english during his first year at delone. While teaching at delone was a new experience for him, i quickly gained respect for the amazing man that Mr. Byrne was. He was great at relating real life experiences to the classroom and actually made english class enjoyable. I also have had the privlege of getting to know Katie, Mr. Byrnes daughter over the past year. It is in her that i see many of the great...

To The Bryne family:
Mr. Bryne was a great man and will be missed very much. I had him for Sophmore and Junior homeroom and Sophmore English. I can remember whenever you were having a bad day he was always around to listen and give you advice on the situation. Sorry for your loss.
