Thinking of you Joe this Memorial Day. Never forgotten

Joe, it still crushes me to think of your death at such a young age. To lose such a positive force in this world. I wish your family peace and love and I try to bring your positivity and spirit to everything I do. Although the posts on here may slow down, I know your influence continues on in the way that everyone who met you lives their lives, better off for having known you.

I have two clear memories of Joe,

We were part of the soccer team that formed to play while we were on the q-west base in Iraq. He was a competitive type and wanted to win.

Think of you Joe. Miss you bro.

Thinking of you Joe. Will always be in my thoughts and prayers. Go Notre Dame!

I was in the same battalion as Joe, and remember when word came down. I was in western Iraq at Al Asad. Even though we never met. It hit home to us, that we lost one of ours in Iraq. He is still remembered by many and will be for a very long time.

Joe, you will never be forgotten.

"Forever Young"

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Nurre,
We still often think about your son and you both. Please know that Joe will never be forgotten.
Respectfully,
