Not sure what to say?

I'll be 82 in two days, and I have never met a better person, in so many ways, than Joe. His humor was special. He shared stories about his life including the Sisters, Bothers, navy, family, and dogs (Brown One and Black One) that would make you laugh until it hurt. I think of him often.

If ever a sailor deserved fair winds and following seas, it was Joe. What fond memories he leaves.

Dear Bill and Jim. I would like to tell you how sorry I was to hear of your father's death. Reading his obituary was really touching and now I know what he meant to you and how much he accomplished. What a great guy.

It's probably impossible for me to find all the words I need to say how much Joe Campbell enriched my life. I had the pleasure of working with him in the University of Arizona business office, and it was an amazing experience. He gave me so much to laugh at, kept me uplifted constantly. He was one in a million. Just a superb human being. I am so grateful that I knew him.

Colin and Erin,

Your father sounds like he was such a wonderful man, humanitarian and father. He is of course in a much better place, but please accept my condolences during this time of his passing.

It would be great to see you sometime Colin!

sorry to hear of joe's passing
he was a dear friend

Colin & Erin --

Sorry to hear of his passing. May we all go as well as he did, after a long and interesting life, and knowing we'll be remembered by a host of grandchildren.

Dear Pat and Family,

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Loss of our parents is so hard, no matter what age we are when they pass. You are in my prayers.

Ruth,

We're so sorry to learn of Joe's passing.

He and you have done so much for the USS Arizona Reunion Association members. We'll miss his presence at the Reunion this year.
