Not sure what to say?

One of the finest persons I had the honor to know in my 21 years with the Iowa ANG. A true credit to his family, God, and country.
Rest in peace Joe and my condolences to the family

RIP always a great friend to my parents, and a great role model growing up. Joe was instrumental in my dad helping with the Panana tours. Gina, I would love to catch up. Erma, Sally and Brian, and Gina please know the Fagans are thinking of you. Much love. Julie.

I worked as a “full-timer” at the 132nd Fighter Wing when Brig Gen Compopiano was one of the senior leaders of the Wing. I looked up to him for his leadership and sage advice to all us officers.

Joe was a super guy. I first met him in 74 and during night flying, he some times wandered through the shop where I was working. Was always scared because thought I might have done something wrong. Over the years, got to know him pretty well and then I knew what kind of guy he was. I do believe every one loved him as I did. Rest in peace, Joe and God speed.
