Not sure what to say?

Joe was among the first people I met and worked with when I came to Charleston in 1993. We shared many adventures over the years, and he often challenged me in many ways, but always with a wry smile and his mischievous wit. I think of Joe whenever I use his handmade pottery I still have, and many of us were enriched by his generous and fun loving spirit. RIP Joe, and enjoy the next great adventure my friend.

What an amazing person Joe was. I can't help but think back to the last trip our group took to Cumberland Island together. Joe you will be missed, so very glad to have had you in my life.

Joe was a great trail and paddle mate. I found him to be a kind man, thoughtful of nature and its appeal. He was a good soul

Such a wonderful light in the word was Joe! I have over 20 years of fond memories and wonderful kayaking and camping trip stories to tell. My prayers are with his family and friends - may happy memories lighten the sadness.

Joe and I had many lovely times together over the years, especially kayaking. I was so fond of him and loved that smile of his. He was such a gentleman, and was kind, generous, fun, and smart. He often mentioned his daughters lovingly. He lived a dynamic life and appreciated nature to the fullest.
