Joseph Mitchell Cava Jr.

Joseph Mitchell Cava, Jr., 55, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Wednesday, December 2, 2009, due to an automobile accident in New Jersey. He was born on November 4, 1954 in Philadelphia, PA. He had been an electrician with IBEW Local 351 for thirty years and was of the Catholic faith. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Stacy Humphrey Cava; two sons, Joseph and Christopher Cava both of Bellmawr, NJ; his mother, Nancy Cava of Philadelphia, his father Joseph Cava of Cedar Keys, Fl; a sister, Carol Valentino of Sicklerville, NJ; four stepdaughters, Courtney Sharp of Springdale, AR and Kelsey, Jessica and Nikki Johnson all of Owensboro; two grandchildren and a nephew, Zachary Valentino. Services are at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, KY. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. on Friday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.
