Joe and Velma I will never forget. They were the most kind, caring and loving couple. I came from a large family and they made me fee right at home. I met the originally through Conrad Saldona as we both tried to help Conrad. You both will always be remembered for your big, generous heart and wonderful outlook on life, love of family and God.

I woke up at 2:00am this morning thinking about Joe and Velma. I could not go back to sleep without getting on my computer to look them up as it has been some 11 years since I saw them last right after my husband, Tom, died. I am so sad to read this so late. I am so thankful that when I moved to Atlanta, that I connected with your family. Sending love to all of you.
Belated wishes. Tara Hickey

Joe was a true southern gentleman and wonderful man. I can never go to The Varsity without thinking of Joe.

May GOD Bless and welcome him HOME

I too am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my longtime and dear friend, Joe. I will remember the wonderful times that we shared with he and Velma and their family over the years. He was an exceptional human being and I have been blessed to know him and have him as a friend. God Bless you Joe. I know you are at peace with the Lord and Velma beside you.

A true southern gentleman, that was my Uncle Joe! It was always such a joy to be with you and Aunt Velma. It warms my heart to know you are together again! Eternal rest grant unto him, oh Lord!
