Not sure what to say?

Mr. Chiara was a great help to me and my mom when I was in high school and we weren't communicating very well. He really blessed my family. In the loving memory of a wonderful Christian.

Rest in peace my friend. We were classmates at McDevitt and Kings College. We had some very good times at the Durkee Lounge. I was very surprised and shocked at your passing.
My sincere condolences to all of your family. God bless you
and I'll look for you when it's my turn. I only wish we could have gotten together one more time. Goodbye for now my friend.
I'll see you on the other side.

Mr. Chiara was my freshman daughter's favorite teacher. She was devastated to learn of his passing. He had his own special way of teaching that really got the kids thinking and learing.

Reading all of the messages of sympathy, I see Mr. Chiara had a very long history of connecting with students and making a lifelong impression upon them. The many students touched by Mr. Chiara will keep his legacy alive through the halls of McD and way beyond!

Our prayers and sympathy to all...

Will always remember the last time I spoke to him...he gave me a high five ,Will always remember the last time I spoke to him...he gave me a high five

Whether referring to his own children, grandchildren, or the students at McDevitt over the years, never was there a spirit that more embodied the phrase "It's all about the kids".

Mr. Chiara was by far the best teacher ever! His biology class was one that, as a young freshman, I loved to attend. He was a very proud, kind man that had a positive long-lasting impression on anyone that crossed his path. His family should know he was an integral part of my and any McD graduate that passed through his classroom. He will be missed and held closely in many hearts. My condolences to all who knew him.

Mr. Chiara was a cheerful and a prime example of what makes Bishop McDevitt such a great High School. Always kind and encouraging. We will miss him.

To put yourself out to thousands of kids over 44 years truly shows the dedication and love this man had for the young people he taught. Mr Chiara was truly a one of a kind man who will be missed by his family and his extended family who knew him. I know that he enriched my life as well as many of my brothers he taught at McD. RIP Mr Chiara and Thank you for all you have done!
