Not sure what to say?

Every year when I see this, I think of the many classes and his personality and his recommending me for the doctoral program. Loyola is not the same without the Pastoral Counseling program nor is it the same world without Joe. Love to the family.

Outstanding professor in the Pastoral Counseling program at Loyola. I did not retire until January 2018 because I loved what I was doing. Thank you Joe for all you did and all you were. Barbara L. Collins (was Chadwick), MS, NCC, LCPC. Love to your family and friends.

One of my favorite professors in the Pastoral Counseling program. Hard to believe it has been ten years. I learned so much from him. Thinking today of his family and friends and former students like me.

Received this in my email today and cannot believe it has been ten years. What a lovely man to go way too soon. I lost the love of my life on 10 July so it is even sadder to me this year.

Was attending a workshop today and was told about Joe's passing by one of the speakers. Joe was a favorite professor when I was at Loyola from 1992 through 1996 and I also had the pleasure of taking many CEU classes from him in recent years. The last class I took was a year ago, and Joe told the class of the battle he was waging. My most sincere condolences to his wife and prayers to all of the family. I don't need to tell you all but he was a lovely and special man who made learning fun...

As you comprehend this profound loss, let yourself cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens.

To Joe's family,
Little did I know when I enrolled in the Pastoral Counseling program at Loyola that I would enter the world of Joe! I was able to stay connected with him after I left via CEU courses. God knew what he was doing when he put Joe in my life...let me just say that Joe improved my personhood immensely, and like a vast number of people, I will miss him. God bless and keep you all.
