Not sure what to say?

Joe was my late-1950's Granada Club roommate at the U of I in Champaign. Learned much from him as he studied late nights into morning, sipping coffee, etc. (taught me to sleep on my stomach, head under pillow). His major was Pre-Law (poly-sci) and mine was Industrial Design (art/eng.). Thus we had many thoughtful discussions ( he--"Dick, never use 'I' in your conversations"; me--"Joe, you're teaching me how to do these 'all-nighter' projects!" ).

I babysat for Joey when he was a little boy living at 388 Goethe. My mother was Elvira DellaNina and we lived in Theresa and Sams building. I was so sad to hear that he passed away but he accomplished such great things!! The Nature Center on Pulaski is a real treasure that my grandchildren now enjoy. My name is Lili Pieroni .
Please accept my condolences and prayers.

Joe Cicero was a very special person, both at McPherson grammer school and at Amundsen high school. He was always a happy, and very kind person. Someone who I admired.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Joe's passing. It was with great foundness that I remembered our association in community projects. What a guy!

Joe and I went to Amundsen together. We met again at the University of Chicago Law School. While there, Joe would often stay with me at International House during exams . Those were great days. As we get ready for our reunion at Amundsen in October, we will toast Joe and all he has done for Chicago. We miss him. Vince Reilly (now...

Our deepest sympathies on your loss. Joe was a cornerstone of the North River communities and the North River Commission. We think of him daily.

Dear Lisa and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
There are no adequate words to comfort those who grieve but may your memories bring you peace.
With love,
Carolyn Zembron

So sorry for your loss. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
