Not sure what to say?

Joe, may you rest in peace. You were such a standout at Croft High School, a terrific athlete, and a wonderful person. I was a cheerleader at Crosby High School, and I truly admired you. I will always remember you!

Dear Sandy and family, I am so sorry for your great loss and send you my deepest sympathies. May you cherish your wonderful memories of Joe deep in your hearts. Love and Blessings to you all.

A great man, great role model, great coach and a great teacher. You'll be missed and never forgotten coach

To Sandy and the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had Joe as a teacher in high school and knew him through my job after graduation. Many knew him as a basketball coach, but he was that and so much more. I won't forget the great coach, person or teacher he was. He was so great to me when he found out my dad was dying of cancer. The memory of his kindness has stayed with me and always will. May God comfort you and may he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the family. Joe was an inspiration and a wonderful mentor to my son Wes when he attended Stonington High and participated in the basketball program there. Our family will always be indebted to Joe for his kindness and professionalism. Thank you for everything and God Bless. With sincere gratitude, Cheryl Guillet

My condolences extend to Sandy, Linda, Andrea, spouses and grandchildren especially. Joe was certainly one very very special husband, father, grandfather, colleague, coach, educator and especially friend. I had the privilege and pleasure to teach with Joe for over 30 years in that SHS gymnasium and athletic fields. We went on a Project Adventure training and Joe´s expertise was evident. I always respected and appreciated his abundant knowledge, advice and fun in our team teaching activities....

To the family, Eileen and everyone, my thoughts and prayers will always be with you. Live everyday as Joe did and cherish each moment daily! Love, Tina Drake Durham, N.C.

Sandra and family, I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Sandy, Linda & Andrea (and the entire family), Denise and I were so sorry to hear of Joe´s passing this week. We hope that your loss is eased, at least somewhat by the outpouring of love and good will you must be experiencing. I am so proud to consider myself a very small part of Joe´s legacy... I am one of literally thousands who have benefited directly as a result of his compassion (and passion), loyalty, advice, work ethic, humor and intellect... and I am so grateful to all of you for...
