JOSEPH COFFEY

Dear Bobby, Christine and Anne, Please accept my deepest condolences for this very sad loss. I knew Joe a bit as a young man. I was working at Clydes and he came in quite regularly . He was always so very nice , always wanting to chat. He would keep me informed as to what you three were up to. He was just so sweet. I am so sorry that you and the entire family has to experience this pain. Joe and all the Coffeys will be in my thoughts and prayers.

One of the greatest guys I ever met. Always warm, quick to laugh and had a unique take on all of life's challenges and pearls. The world lost a great and good man! My heart goes out to Morgan and the entire family.

Morgan.... Although Joe and you were in Bryn Mawr for only a short time, I can remember standing on the sidelines of many lacrosse games at Shipley with the two of you. Joe would shout encouragement (and criticism) at the boys as they lost almost every game. They were still great times we shared with our kids. Remember them and perhaps they will give you some comfort... Stay strong.... Susanne Dougherty

I met Joe in 1967, in our freshman year of high school. I was 13 years old. Joe was different, special in ways that are impossible to describe. He cut through the tribal distinctions that are standard for that age group. We became really good friends, particularly when we went to the same college. Joe would listen to me play my guitar in the stairwells where there was natural reverb. He was a true gift to everyone who had the good fortune to Know him. I will miss him.
