Not sure what to say?

Upon my recent return home I was informed of the passing of Mr.Colone. My deepest condolecnces to teh family. I remember Mr. colone as my math, and much like my father, for big men they had a gently way of making their point. I never acted out in his class because of his size. He taught in such a way that math was fun. I guess the angles needed a math lesson or just some extra help.Thank you Mr Colone.

Dear Family, It was with great sorrow that we learned of Bells' recent death. My bother Albert wrote very well on Bells' visits to Oneonta, and his influence and legacy to our family. He made us very proud to be a Colone. Just a few short months ago, my wife and I made a surprise visit to see my Aunt Erm and her husband(Coach CC Bream). Most of our talk was about Berwick and a lot of that was about Bells. Aunt Erm takes credit for teaching Bells how to shoot push shots. Coach Bream...

To the wife and family of Mr. Colone,
My deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one.
I remember when I first met Mr. Colone in math class. He seemed very intimatedating to me (especially since I was so shy) because of his size. But I discovered that he was a very gentle person who cared about everyone and he taught me to love math. I will never forget him.

To Mrs Colone, Family and Friends,
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I had the privilege of having Mr. Colone as a Math Teacher he was a kind, helpful, understanding man and know to many as the "Gentle Giant" who roamed the halls of Woodbury HS. He will be Dearly Remembered by all whose lives he touched.

To the Colone family:
I had Mr. Colone for 7th grade homeroom & math. I spent more time in the "doghouse" than you can imagine. But, Joe always made feel that I could succeed. He stated his case and that was it. I would run in to him a number of times later on.... and he would always remember some of our more memorable "incidents". A great teacher and example of how to live your life. The world has lost a good man, but, heaven has gained a SAINT. My sincerest sympathies. Jay...

Those of us who were fortunate enough to know Mr. Colone will always remember him with a smile. As a math teacher, he was famous for asking his students, "How many follow me?" after explaining something. I offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

To the Colone Family:
My deepest sympathies to your family on the loss of such a wonderful man. I met Joe when he came into my store and my mother introduced us. He offered to show me how to golf and we became fast friends. Our trips to Myrtle Beach were so much fun and we looked forward to them every year. All of the guys did the shopping and Joe did all the cooking. He was such a tremendous cook and we ate like kings. I hope he looked on those times and smiled.
I would like...

Coach Colone will be missed by many of us who have pass through the doors of WHS. I was in the class of 1963 and recall during one of his half time pep talks he once said … “the sun comes up tomorrow weather you win or lose …. But it comes up a hell of a lot brighter if you win!” The sun was dimmed on July 1st but as Joe is with his maker the sun is bright once again. I know he is smiling down on all of those who had the pleasure and good fortune to have known Coach Colone

Very saddened to hear the loss of Mr. Colone...he was my high school teacher and a wonderful teacher with a keen sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with the family...he was so well repected by everyone I am sure that everyone's life he touched was so much better for having known him. God Bless you all...Sincerely, D.Green, Woodbury, NJ
