Not sure what to say?

I too had Dr. Congleton at ECU in the early 70's. They were wonderful years and he was a part of those years. His service to the citizens of N.C. was greatly appreciated. We thank him!

I remember classes with Dr. Congleton at ECU when I was getting my masters in Music Education. My mother, Annette Hughes Braxton went to school with Dr. Congleton waaaaaay back in the ECTC days. He was always interesting and full of stories and always so proud of his children. He will be missed.

Dear Donna and Beth,

My thought and prayers are with you during this time of loss. I remember Mr. Congleton waiting so patiently at FBC in Washington on Wednesday nights! Miss Gladys thought highly of your family and spoke often of each of you.

Take care and know others care.

Donna,

Bruce and I are so sorry to read about Josephs' passing.

Please accept our sympathies and we will keep you in our prayers.

In Christian Love,

Bruce and Jackie Bowen

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

As a neice of Joe I have a lot of fond memories of Joe singing and playing the paino at the family reunions or anytime the amily would get together. He especially was fond of my daughter Valerie when we lived in Greenville. He would babysit her and take her to the movies. I am sure he is in heaven with his sister my mother Harriett Cleaves.
