Read MoreOf all the people I have known since 1946, Joe still stands out as one of my favorite friends. I got acquainted with Joe after I was discharged from the Army Air Corp. We spent time together, as I was trying to learn calculus from Boozer Pitts and enjoying Joe and Beebe Shepherd's company. My sincere condolences to Joe's family. He was a fine person.

I had the privilege of knowing Coach Connally when I was a walk on at Auburn from1966-1968. He was a very nice man and a fine coach. He was always very kind to me and well liked by all the players. My prayers are with his family .
