Not sure what to say?

A random conversation with one of my employees just this morning (Thursday 9/29/22) went like this... You remember the days when service station meant "service" and they checked oil, washed windows, checked tires and all that? Like Cotton's Mobil at Westfield St. and Kings Hwy.? Joe was a great guy and a great friend of the family... OK. Here is the weird part! Not 5 minutes later, I checked emails that came in yesterday and did not have a chance to look at while working the Big E. I...

Joe will be missed!
He was a long-time friend to my parents and our family. Pretty much to everybody, for that matter...

We are the last generation to have had the great experience, where stopping in for gas was more than just getting gas!!

I am happy that I had the chance to grow up in town, where friends were everywhere you went.

We'd stop to see Tessie at Lapinski's farm (she'd give me an apple), Mr. & Mrs. Howe at Jones's Variety, Tommy Stevenson at the Texaco...

To all the Cotton Family, we want to express our sincere sympathy in the loss of a great man, your Dad. He was truly a wonderful man, a true American, always there to fix my car with a smile, our deepest sympathy, the Wesniak family

So sorry for your loss; Prayers for the Family

My condolences to the Cotton family. Having had worked on 2-West , 3-11 shift , I had the privilege and honor of helping Joe. Joe was a proud man and glowingly always showing pictures of his family and cars, work , etc. Joe was a patriot and may God rest his soul.

Joe Cotton did a lot for his community. He was always helping the kids in town.Always willing to give a helping hand.If you needed help on your car or needed a job Joe was always happy to oblige.I will always remember Joe driving down the road in his Bronco with his sidekick "Thumper" with a big smile.May you rest in Peace Joe.

Rest In Peace Joe!
