What a kind friendly soul. He would put you at ease immediately with his ease and concern for how you are doing, not himself. I loved talking to him about a variety of topics and having lunch one day after Sandy passed reminded me of having lunch with my dad many years ago. I loved talking to him after mass. He always put me in a good mood.

Hung around with Joe many years ago in the late 1950s. Havent seen him in decades but I have fond memories of this kind & generous man. My condolences to his family. RIP my friend.
