Joseph Craver

Joe Craver inspired me to be a cardiac surgeon. Ill never forget the time he spent with me as a medical student and later as a general surgery resident at Emory. He was my surgical hero, a true gentleman and scholar. Bigger than life, but also compassionate. Because of Joe, I have been able to help so many patients and because of his trainees (like me) his work lives on.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe is/was a phenomenal individual - Physician - Teacher. I worked at Emory Clinic for 26 years during his tenure there and knew him well in the work force. My heart is so sad for you, his family - and so grateful for all of his groundbreaking work done and lives saved - Rest in Peace, Joe.

My prayers & sympathy to Missy, Bill, Catherine & all the family. So glad I got be his office assistant at Emory from 1995-1998. Forever grateful for all I learned while working for Dr. Craver.

Dr.Craver was a real force of life, a great mentor and a demanding teacher. His methods taught us to be better at whatever we do. We will miss you Dr. Joe.
