Joe and I did quite a few projects over the years and was instrumental in moving my business to Columbus from Indianapolis in 1996 ... we met when I was working for Patrick racing back in the mid 70´s and were friends since that time... Joe was one of a kind and my personal idol for 50 years

Joe was a great friend, business associate and neighbor to the Essex family. His wave and smile will be missed. To Sher and Bruce our thoughts and prayers go out to you and all your family. God bless!

We will be having a celebration of Joe's life the Friday after Thanksgiving st Joe's hangar at the Columbus airport for anyone who new him to come and enjoy some stories about Joe. Please feel free to stop by and celebrate his long life with his family and friends. Friday the 28th from 3 to 6pm. Dress Casual or come as you are.

It's so nice to hear from our old friends from the early days through his current friends in Columbus. Thank you all for remembering Joe and his smile. He's lived here for 78 of his 97 years and has known many fine people, many have gone on before Joe and we're so wonderful and also to the ones still living that remember his years from high school through his later years and all the good times in between which were many. I always enjoyed my conversations with Joe, taking about our early beginnings in life and how hard work and determination were the two most important things that made us who we had become. Joe was a great man and I always enjoyed that big smile!
