Not sure what to say?

R.I.P. good Brother in blue. I spent most of my career at SSLPD working with Joe. He was an amazing man that you always could count on. He was one of the best there ever was and he'll be missed.. Former Chief of Police/Mayor South Salt Lake City, RD GRAY

Davies Family,
Just want to add that I worked with Joe for years and everyone at SSL would agree that Joe was a loved man as well as a respected Sgt. He was part of a great family that we shared RIP my friend.
Mildred

Davies Family,
Our heart goes out to you for your loss. Joe was a good, caring and gentle man with a dry sense of humor.

Davies Family,

Joe was a gentle giant. I also remember him as a kid growing up in South Salt Lake, I had the privilege to work along side of him as a Officer when I started in 1998. Joe wouldn't say much but when he did we listened. He had a quote that has stuck with me for my career. If you worked here in South Salt Lake you know (LOL). Sgt you will be missed.

We were lucky enough to meet Joe & spend time with him & his wonderful family. We wish we could have had more time to get to know him better but feel like we know him through Marissa's memories that she shared. He was generous & kind to our son, welcoming Brian as a son instead of an "in-law". He will be missed so very much. Our thoughts & prayers are with his whole family. We love you.

A great man who I will never forget. Always putting others before himself. He taught me so much about life and humanity. He suffered but he was strong and endured it for so long. He loved his daughters so much! I will remember him always and keep him and his family in my heart forever!

Spending the night with Joe in his patrol car (as a city councilperson) gave me great respect for him and his values. He was a great guy and you girls have our condolences and sympathy.
