Not sure what to say?

Just found this and it is years later , but I worked with Joey at finger lakes race track where him and my dad worked together. I think of Joey all the time! A wonderful human being and I wish we never lost track after the time at finger lakes

My deepest sympathy and condolences to a friend always, and his family. Deepest regards.

All throughout my life I heard quite some stories about my Uncle Joey and his boxing career. Whenever someone found me to be a "DeJohn"..the next question was, "Are you related to the fighers?" When I replied, "Yes!"....Then all the wonderful events, stories, etc. were told to me. I am related to quite an amazing family with Uncle Joey being one exciting boxer in the 50's. joe never really said alot but always knew what was going on with his little sideways smirk i'll never forget him

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

To Patty & The DeJohn Families,
Joey will be surely missed by all family and friends. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. The memories that he and his brothers gave the sport of Boxing will be cherished.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

Sorry to hear of Joey!s passing.
I used to go to his fights with his nephew Ralph.
Rest in peace Joey.

My Regards to the Family
Joey was a fighter you did have to teach him how to punch. When I started at Irv Robbins Gym, I was at awe, watching him hit the bag.
