The loss of Bishop Delaney will be felt by many in our diocese. His wisdom, care, compassion and strength were an inspiration to all who met or knew him.
My sincere sympathy goes out to his family, friends, and those who looked to him for guidance. He will be remembered by many.

May the Holy Spirit send His comfort and love to the Delaney family. We were so very blessed to have him as our "Bishop". Joseph Patrick will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in the love of his beloved Jesus.

Bishop Delaney and I grew up at the same time in Fall River, Mass. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Windthorst, Tx. several years ago. I not a Catholic, but wanted to I send my sympathy to the Catholics in his Diocese.
