I just heard of his passing. Im sorry for this. I would visit him occasionally at his shop.

Brother Joseph, I will miss our visits together. Thank you for being there, as a true friend and confidant, your' logic, insights and wisdom as well as your' wry humor, were always welcomed and encouraged. Say hello to The Old Guard for me and rest easy now, you've certainly earned it. To Barbara, Courtney and Brother Rick, condolences and please call if you need a helping hand. God Bless.

In my first comment I was incorrect about schools. I looked in the yearbook and he was at Franklin Jr. High and in the same year as my sister - 2 years ahead of me. This photo is from the 1973 yearbook.

DeWitt Family: I just wanted to express my sadness at learning of Joe's passing. I grew up on Oak Street and Joe and his family lived just 2 doors down from us and I was their paperboy for a couple of years. We were a couple of years apart and we went to different schools, but I always enjoyed talking with Joe and he and his family were wonderful neighbors. Joe was a good guy, friendly and fun and I'll always remember him with a smile and a laugh
