Dr. Joe was Flight Surgeon to me and many others during my year in Vietnam. Finally have found him but too late to tell him how much I admired him! CPT Robert W Brown, US Army Retired.

I lost more than one of my dearest friend. I lost my hero. Dr. was the best of everything- best father, husband, grandfather, doctor, soldier and friend. He is sitting at the right hand of G d. How lucky we all are to have had him in our lives.

Doc...I still have your personal data in all my comm devices. I've saved a couple of voice mails which I listen to occasionally and recall the many good games of golf we have had at Plymouth and all the other venues. You were a great friend and competitor then and I will never forget now! PROMISE! Joe C
