Not sure what to say?

My heart is heavy with Joe's passing. Joe was a significant part of my life and in my boys lives. Joe taught my kids life lessons that they would have never known if our paths did not cross. Thank you Donna for encouraging me to write to Joe. He was a wonderful kind talented man who I will never forget.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and may God grant you the comfort to endure.

To the Doehrer family: I consider it a gift to have known Joe and both enjoyed and learned from my friendship with him. Joe, love and peace brother, until we meet again. Bob and Terri Dechane.

Uncle joey You are free as a bird now your legacy will live on I was lucky to have you in my life for 39 years over the past 7 weeks you taught me so much I'm sad your gone but you are free of pain now and we now have another angel watching over us in your words "it's a beautiful thing" you touched me and my family in so many ways thank you so much for that you will forever be in our hearts I love you uncle Joey

Dear family of Joe: Joe turned his life over to the Lord and found comfort in knowing that at his end...life would begin anew in Heaven. He became a man of faith and love for his brother inmates and all of us who he inspired.
