Not sure what to say?

I started working at Qua Buick when I was a teenager. My father wanted to make sure that I knew how to do everything around a dealership and although I wasn't assigned to Joe, he took a liking to me and made sure I learned something about mechanics every day. To this day I still use the skills that he taught. The most effective skill that he showed me was kindness. As a smart Alec kid, he was always firm about what was expected of a Qua but without even a trace of negativity. I...

I cannot picture the Buick business without seeing Joe. He was there my whole life! Always a smile and a kind word or two. His attention to detail was amazing. New cars would arrive daily but they could never get a new home until they had Joes blessing. He would spend extra time on brand new cars checking every detail. Car doors needing micro adjustments until they made just the right sound opening and closing. I remember inside his toolbox he saved foam pads because they were great for...

Dear Donna and family, Sending my deepest condolences and prayers. Wishing you peace and love during this difficult time. -Ashley Platko

I was fortunate to work with Joe at Qua Buick and he was one of the kindest people I have ever met. I have fond memories of those days and will never forget them in general and Joe in particular.

Your journey here has ended, but you will live on forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear cousin, Joe. Until we meet again.

I started at Qua Buick in 1974. Not really knowing how working in a auto dealership was supposed to go. One of the younger mechanics told me if there was anything I need to know to ask this old timer mechanic and he would be very helpful. He was right I could ask Joe anything and he would steer me in the right direction. Joe and I shared the same birthday,Oct 25th. He called us Twins. Naturally he was the older twin. He always remembered to call me on that day and wish happy birthday. He was...

I worked with Joe at Qua Buick from 1979 when I was a rookie right out of vocational school, until 1988 when I moved on. Joe was an ideal co-worker,excellent mechanic, and mentor. He helped keep this smart mouth, know it all "kid" in line. I am grateful you were in part of my life. Rest in peace Joe.

You will never be forgotten. One of my fondest memories was in 1972 with my Buick Skylark. I was pulled over by the Willowick police for no brake lights. I explained to the officer that I was on my way to my cousin Joe's house because he was a mechanic at Qua Buick and was going to see what the problem was. I don't think the officer believed me and he followed me to Joe's house. Thank God Joe was in his driveway waiting for me. The officer then continued driving away. Joe said, "Hey Joey,...

My 5 siblings and I worked with Joe at Qua Buick. He was a great guy. His last name was similar to my mom's maiden name Dolenz, so we called him Uncle Joe. It was an honor to know him.
