Not sure what to say?

My father took me fishing on the snooper when I was 12 years old and it was the best fishing trip ever. We caught so many blues it was ridiculous. Captain Joe was awesome, I'll never forget that he actually let me drive the boat out of the welfleet harbor. I know I was young but he was a great guy and a great fisherman. My father had a small boat in welfleet harbor and we never caught that many fish on our boat. Just want to say I'm sorry for your loss and it was the best fishing trip I was...

For those of you who knew my Father as Snooper Joe: I want you to know that after 4 years of keeping the boat up and running in Wellfleet, in his honor. I have sold it to a great family that has asked to keep the name on the back in his honor. If you see the boat, please hail them on the radio and thank them. Captain Joe, would be proud and happy to see his boat sailing with family and friends!!

Mr. Domenico,Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Somerville when you served with the SFD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.Fair Winds And Following Seas

I came to know your father through my next door neighbor, Al Dente. (always "Mr. Dente" to me and my brother and sisters) Mr. Dente always had time to spend with me, mostly talking about fishing and sports. I was five years older than Mr. Dente's oldest son Ralph, which made it possible for me to go with Mr. Dente and his buddies on a trip to Wellfleet to fish on "Joe Domenico's boat". "Joe Domenico", "Harold", "Ernest", "Raymo"; these were names and faces that I knew as Mr. Dente's...

To John, Joyce and the family of Joe,

I wanted to pass along our sympathy on behalf of my parents, Joan & Phil and my brother, sister and myself. My father mentioned that your father had died this morning and was quite upset in hearing the news. I know my parents were close with your folks, especially with the early years of your father and my fathers' friendship. Likewise, I have many memories of being neighbors one of which was catching my first stripper with your dad. It is...

My father, Al Dente, had mentioned many stories about the times he had spent with Joe. My father considered your father a good friend. Whether he was constructing our new bathroom addition in the late 60's or chartering the boys (a few of their friends) on another successful striped bass fishing trip on the Wellfleet Snooper the stories were the same - they always had a great time and caught a boat load of fish! It is many years later and these stories still resonate with my 3 siblings and...

To the family of Joe Dimenico,

My parents (Al & Mary Dente) were good friends of Joe's and when a family member emailed me this obituary, it brought back many fond memories of their friendship with Joe & Nancy. My parents were Somerville natives and my dad had a babershop located in Davis Square. They had a houseboat many years ago at Point of Pines in Revere. May you find comfort in the fond memories of Joe. Best Regards, Janice Dente
