Not sure what to say?

I appreciate the reminders of Joe and seeing that smile.

Mr. Domko was my teacher at Standley Lake High School. I often tell my kids stories of my amazing AP US History teacher. Many of the lessons I carry with me today were not taught from the textbook, but from a teacher who successfully engaged teenagers. There’s no such thing as a coincidence, he had a great line about labeling yourself as a liberal/conservative, and my favorite lesson was if I wanted to make change in the world I need a career where I impacted policy. Thank you for the lessons...

Mr. Domko (Joe) was a teacher of mine it Ken Caryl Jr High and Columbine High schools. He made a lasting impact on me as a role model for idealism, intellectual challenge, compassion, energy and fun. Everyone who was touched by his talent and soul were blessed.

I have been looking for Joe for over 40 yrs.Vietnam buddy. Sorry .

I was on Joe's first wrestling team back at Columbine in the early 70's. I was thinking about Joe the other day and how little he knew how much of an impact he had on my life. So I searched for him today and was absolutely taken back about learning about his passing. I knew him as a young man just out of Vietnam. The energy level he put into life was incredible. He tried to teach us how important in was to always give it all you had in anything you did.

Thanks Coach.

Joe was one of a kind, he lived life large. I remember all of the times he would come over to our house on westover lane in Schuamburg. We loved him. He was part of our family in that neighborhood. His life was one big adventure. All of our lives have been richer by having Joe be a part of it. The greatest gift he gave was friendship and the joy of life. Rip old friend , James McNamee

To JoAnne, Annie, Joey and all of Joe's family - Such a special person - but you knew that from the beginning, Jo! Joe always wanted the best for and expected the best of everyone whose life he touched. The pain will fade, the memories will grow brighter, and he will always be in your hearts. A great tribute to a great man.

A new angel in Heaven named Joe.......

Dear Jo Anne, Joey and Annie, We were so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Though we didn't know each other all that well, meeting at block parties left such a positive impression. He seemed like such a delightful man and based on the other messages you've received, that must be true. May you find peace knowing he will always be with you.
