Joseph F. Donegan, a resident of Reading for 43 years, died on October 23, 2016 at the Meadow View Care nursing facility in North Reading. He was 70 years of age.

Joe was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on April 4, 1946 the son of the late Bernard and Florence (Myott) Donegan. Joe was a retired pipefitter for Local 6. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Agnes Church in Reading.

Joe was the beloved husband of Angela Marie (Cavaliere) Donegan. Devoted father of Brian J. Donegan and his wife Victoria of Wakefield and Christopher M. Donegan and his wife Karen of Reading. Cherished brother of Patricia DeWolfe of Methuen and Joanne Noonan of Dracut. Loving grandfather of Morgan, Brianna, Cameron, Maxwell and Charles. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 28 at St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30AM. Burial is private and there are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 114 Perimeter Rd. Unit G & H Nashua NH 03063.

I worked with Joe at Meadow View I am an activities assistant. He was one of my favorites and I will miss him. My sympathy goes out to his family and my thoughts are with you. He was a good guy I got along with him well. Rest In Peace Joe and watch over us all. You are always in my thoughts.
