Not sure what to say?

Joe was a very kind man and a good friend. Many happy memories of our time at George C. Marshall High School, Ankara, Turkey. Sylvia Adkison Brewer

Thank you for reminding me of Joe - a great friend of Ireland and the Donohoe clan. He was very pleasant company and made a huge contribution by researching and informing us of our heritage. He is fondly remembered here in Ireland.
Warmest regards to Anita

I am so sad to have just heard of Joe's passing. We made many friends in Dublin and Cavan. Many of his Dublin friends had been trying to make contact with him for sometime. We now know he is at rest. He was loved and respected by all of his Irish friends. I first met him at the Donohoe Clan gatherings, (Donohoe is my maternal name) and several times in Dublin, Gilroy and San Fransisco.
May he rest in peace
Mary Freehill Dublin

We miss you Joe. Your Kindness was so well. Dear Anita, you are more than welcome if you plan to come in France.

In 1970 I met Joe through common genealogical interests. For four decades we have had occasional friendly contact; his last e-mail was in February and mine in April. He was always forthcoming to help my researches and I tried to return his kindnesses. I'll miss that I can't call him and perhaps visit his Russian Hill apartment. The last time he visited me the dinner was a disaster! I hoped to make that up some day. RIP

I was so sad to hear about Joe. He was in my class in Ankara. Always
nice and a real gentlemen. Would have attended his memorial if I had
known about it.

Anita and family; So sorry for your loss.

Anita--I'm so sorry about the loss of your handsome brother. Since it happened on my birthday, I will always say a prayer for him on that day.
