Not sure what to say?

Joe Douglass was a respected firefighter and assistant instructor at CSU Maritime Academy for several years. It was our honor and privilege to have him teaching our students and professional mariners. We will miss our friend and colleague terribly, but know that he is resting peacefully now. Our condolences and prayers for all of the family - Please know that Joe had a tremendous impact on many of us and our students, so his legacy lives on.

Please accept my condolences. Joe was a great guy to work with. I remember him at E31 and he always loved my impersonation of Howard Cosell "down goes Frazier" routine. I know he will be missed by many. He had a big heart.

I am saddened to hear the news of Joe's passing. I can only remember meeting him once when I was 7 or 8 years old. I remember his kind smile and strong arms... The name Joe Douglas was like a legacy in our home while I was growing up. Both my mother and father had mad love and great respect for Joe. May he rest in peace.
