Not sure what to say?

We were very sad to hear the news of Joe passing a few weeks ago. He was married to my first cousin(once removed )- Inga and we met many times over the years, and more particularly over the last twenty five years or so. He was a truly lovely man, with a well developed sense of humour, a complex character who did so many things with his life, with the talents he had.. and it was a privelege to have known him, albeit from a distance a lot of the time. We (Heather and I) have particularly...

Dear Inga, Christopher, Jacalyn, Gregory, Janet, and Jonathan,Robin; and your special grandchildren Liam and Fiona, Paul and I send our deepest sympathy. He was a great man, what little did I know of him. We will always treasure the few moments we shared with Joe and you. I have shown the picture of Joe & Paul often and usually with the same comment, "That must be Paul's brother!" We send you love and comfort through prayers. I wish we could be there with you on June 28th for his...

Dear Inga and family. It was a enormous privilege to get to know Joe over the last two decades, and I will miss his kindness and curiosity, as well as his wry, mischievous sense of humour, at future family get-togethers. I still remember with great affection the visit Kevin and I paid to you on our whirlwind tour of the US in 2000 and your gracious hospitality. Marta and I send all our love and best wishes as you grieve his loss and remember his extraordinary, full life.

Hello Inga and family, I am so sorry for your loss. What a great guy! I always loved being around you two. So witty, fun, smart, loving and perfect together. I think of Joe as being such a positive, creative, inspiring spark in the world. We became friends when I joined the Sitka Board and Joes kindness and generous guidance was always there for me traversing my own losses, when I needed it most. What a gem of a human being! I will always remember him with the utmost of kindness in my heart!...

Dear Inge, Phil and I send our condolences to you, buoyed by our memories of sitting behind you at the Oregon Symphony concerts some years ago and by your lovely relationship with each other. What a splendid and fruitful life he had, you had together, with delight in your children and service to others. We are not able to attend the memorial service at Trinity, and so send our best wishes for an occasion of celebration and fond memories. Our thoughts are with you and your family....

My condolences to Joe's family, friends and faith community. I appreciated the enthusiasm he manifested while forming the Lifework Planning Center at Marylhurst Education Center in the 1970s

Dear Inga and family, I´m so so sorry to hear about Joe´s passing. He was a great influence on my faith journey. Blessings, Becky Wong
