The faces of the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at the services and funeral were testimony to how much Grandpa Dukles was loved -- and how much love he gave in return. I walked away thinking, "he succeeded at making every one of us feel as if we were the most special grandchild." Returning to "Birdtown" after all these years brought back the magical memories of a 10-year-old, cutting through Madison Park to get to the Dowd Avenue Market.
