Not sure what to say?

Joe showed me, by his actions, how to live the life of a Catholic Gentleman. I was lucky to know him, and will pray for him always. Rest in peace, sir.

Mr Dunn was a good and kind neighbor to my parents. They thought the world of him.

This obituary covers Joe´s honorable legacy to a"T". He was always selflessly giving his time to Holy Family and the Knights of Columbus. I recently saw him at the grocery store this past year and though he was over 100 years old at this point-he was still sharp as a tack and remembered who I was. He will be dearly missed. May he now rest in eternal peace.

Joe will truly be missed! What a kind gentle soul with such class. I had the privilege of celebrating his birthday with some friends at our home and can´t tell you how special that was. Condolences to his family may his memory Live on through them, and his many friends. Love The Biafore Family .

Yes, we´ll miss Joe. All of those golf games, our beer after golf, the K of C functions, I could go on and on. He had an affinity for remembering names and presented himself extremely well. Joe was a faithful catholic gentleman and an inspiration to all who knew him. All in the Hagen family will sincerely miss Joe. May he rest in peace. EarlHagen

Joe was a gentleman, who I just met last year. When I would see him , at Mass he would always remember my first name! Sending prayers & love , to his family.

Joe was a special man. I knew him as a member of the Knights of Columbus and Gloria and I knew him as members of Holy Family. Joe was not only a special person, but also an exceptional Catholic man. He showed me how to deepen my faith in God by his great example. Gloria and I are sorry that we could not attend the funeral as we now live in Florida, but we know that he will be sorely missed by all who loved him. Know that Gloria and I have kept Joe, his family, and friends in our prayers...

Joe was a great Catholic gentleman. A role model and an inspiration to all who knew him. Watching him take loving care of Betty for so many years, at Mass and special devotions, at Hibernian meetings and outings, at K of C events. The list of his selfless giving goes on and on. I would do anything he asked but he never asked for much. I cannot express the deep respect and admiration I have for Joe. I will strive to be like him but I know that I could never measure up. God bless you Joe and...

Joe was an extremely kind to our family during our dad Ken Downing's illness. May you find comfort in your memories and peace during this difficult time. I will keep your family in my prayers. Sue Downing McVey
