Not sure what to say?

Joe Durkin, my best friend and mentor was vigorous, profane, outrageously irreverent, confident, funny, a person who would encourage real conversation if left to his own devices. His superiors werent even close to being in his league or at his level. He was a real handful. So here he was, head and shoulders above his peers expressing an opinion, questioning and testing the status quo, providing bewildering counter points in a discussion, making innovative suggestions for improvements,...

Michael, My thoughts are with you and your family at this most difficult time.

Henry W. Burbine Southeast Office of the Massachusetts Teachers Association. Sorry to hear about the loss of Joe Durkin. He was a gentleman.

Michael,
My condolences to you and your family. Although it was nearly forty one years ago when I met you in 5th grade, I fondly remember visiting your home, and meeting your parents and brothers and sister. May you take joy in having such a blessed father, and family.

Dear Aunt Mary, Joe Jr., Sean, Kathy and Mike,

I am saddened by Uncle Joe's passing. I wish I could be with you. He was a humble and kind man. Be it working in the garden with him, or smoking a cigar with him in 2001, or having him teach me how to test whether mussels were fresh, I will cherish all my memories of him from my vacations to Northboro over the years. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To Mrs. Durkin, Joe, Kathy, Mike, and Sean, and the rest of the Durkin family, my wife and I would like to extend to all of you, our deepest sympathy on your loss of Joe Sr.

TO THE DURKIN FAMILY,
OUR LOVE, THOUGHTS & PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL AT THIS DIFFICULT TIME. WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER JOE AS A GREAT NEIGHBOR & A WARM & FRIENDLY GENTLEMAN. YOU WERE BLESSED TO HAVE SUCH A WONDERFUL MAN. LOVE, JOE & THERESA TROMBETTA

Rest in peace dear Joe knowing how very much we are going to miss your presence in our life and in the lives of so many whom you touched for even a brief moment in time or an entire lifetime. You achieved so much in such a humble fashion. We will certainly miss our times together visiting in Boston and Phoenix, but we know that you will be watching over us from above with a cigar in one hand and a lobster in the other. God bless you for being such a wonderful brother-in-law to us. Who else...
