Not sure what to say?

Joe was a great role model, leader, gentleman and friend to me, the best Plant Manager that I've worked under. He was a wonderful person, an extraordinarily good and caring man, and an exceptional manager in the lives of his employees. He treated us as though we were human! He wanted to hear what we had to say, not what we thought he wanted to hear.

For example, at the age of 23 in 1968, I had just graduated from LSU, but had gotten job offers only from the ‘frozen US...

AS another of the Enjay Baton Rouge Plastics family, I can not tell you what a wonderful influence Joe Eger was in our lives as employees and human beings. In my opinion, no finer person ever passed our way.

With deepest sympathy
Jacob Scardina

The best Plant Manager that I ever worked under and an outstanding person. He will be missed by all. Our sympathy to his family for their loss.

Your dad was one of sweetest men I've met. He was always so friendly like we'd known him all of our life. He was a great grandfather and loved his family. I know he'll be greatly missed by his loving family. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. Gary & Debbie Dicus

Dear Joe, Debby, Joseph and Byron -
Thinking of you now as you hear and remember all the wonderful things about your dad and grandfather. The list is long because he was truly an extraordinarily good man. Big Joe will be missed by legions of people who's lives he touched in a positive way and he will always be very special to us.
Our prayers for comfort go out to you and all of your extended family.

I was only 19 years old when hired at Enjay Plastics in 1968 and your dad was a true role model to me. He was a great leader, gentleman and friend. There are no words for me to express my respect for you father. God Bless

To The Family of Joe Eger:
I consider being a part of the early success of the Baton Rouge Plastics Plant to be one of the most memorable undertakings of my working career.
During this time, Joe Eger with his calm, assuring, and patient leadership style set the standard for us all. He was a remarkable person. I will think of him often, and send to all his family my deepest and most sincere condolences.

I am blessed to work in the Plastics Plant that Joe built. He not only erected the piping and machinery, but built a culture of caring for the employees that is seldom seen in corporate Ameraica. So sorry for your loss

To all the Eger family, so sorry for the loss of your dad.I can still remember the days on Milburn drive in Baton Rouge like it was yesterday.Keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
