This is what I hope to read at Dad's memorial service. I'm posting it here in case I can't get through it.
We are here today to remember the life of Joseph Raymond Ellis.
That name was probably only used when he was getting in trouble as a kid. Most knew him as Joe, Dad, grandpa Joe, papa Joe, uncle Joe, cousin Joe. I was always close to my brother joe, we had such good times with him. I was. Lucky that he came to visit me often when he was on east coast. We had horse farm In river head Long Island an he would park his truck in yard for a few weeks. I loved him dearly an I will miss his laughs an his jokes he will forever be in my heart. I'm sure he has everyone in heaven laughing

We will miss Uncle Joe! Rest in peace.
I remember growing up with all of you next store on Long Island and then the visits over the years.
