Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dr Joe at Willamette Falls Hospital in Oregon City for many many years. I found him to be the kindest man to everyone- he treated us nurses with respect and friendship. My life was enriched by knowing this man . He was our daughters doctor and they did not mind having to go see Dr Joe. He was a real role model to others- first his heart transplant and then his blindness . I keep him in my prayers everyday.

What a sweet man and a wonderful doctor. He cared not only about the children but the parents as well. When one of my twin babies clearly needed cardiac intervention, he advocated for me with a pediatric cardiac surgeon who blamed my concern about my failing to thrive baby as, "having twins can be overwhelming." Dr. Emmerich offered to call him and was frustrated with his attitude as well. He told me to insist on a cardiac cath and not to take no for an answer. After seeing the results, the...

I am another of those "so deeply grateful to have had Dr. Emmerich in my life" people. As a teenager I was responsible for the daily medication needs of a younger sibling. The dosing varied based on several factors and there were many many early morning calls to Dr. E's home to confirm the proper dose. To an overwhelmed teen he was understanding, kind, and patient, even when sleep deprived. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

One of my favorite memories was when he won the 125 motorcycle, going to see On Any Sunday, and fun on the farm. Joe always lived bigger and louder than life!! We will miss his energy!

Dear Emmerich Family, you are so right-I have never forgotten Dr. Emmerich, not only as my daughter´s pediatric allergist at Broadway Medical Clinic over 25 years ago, but for the incredible kindness, love and support I received from Dr. Emmerich as a fellow human being. I know I thanked him graciously many times over the years, but as a single parent, the comfort and reassurance he provided to me during some very stressful times in my life cannot be put into words. In my nearly 63 years, I...

Thank you for your brilliant service and love you showed me as a child then my child for a few years. You will Always be remembered. I will make sure I light a candle at your church in Chicago.

I already miss my neighbor Joe but look forward to more shared time with Debbie and Stephanie.

What a kind man! My children were happy to make a visit to Dr Emmerich, even if it was for immunizations, or to get a vitamin out of a nose (how could that ever happen?). We´re sending condolences to his family and close friends. The world is missing a great human being.

What a sweet, fine man he was. Got me through a lot of childhood illness issues with my girls. Worked with him many years at the hospital. I´m sure his memory and goodness will remain in many hearts for years to come. So sorry for his family´s loss.
