Not sure what to say?

I was just wondering whatever happened to my old friend Joe, and google led me to this sad page. We fell out of touch long ago, but I still have some great memories of the times we spent together. I remember driving around in his (I think) Chevy van and him teasing me because I was always frightened by that big parrot in the dining room! Could that really have been over 50 years ago? I remember when he moved to Manhattan and called himself "Sterling Silver." Anyway, I just wanted you to know...

I have just learned of Joseph's passing and I wanted to share my prayers and message of sympathy to his family. I only met Joseph last year, but I will remember him forever. His personality, wit, talent, compassion and determination were ever present. Joseph was a one of a kind, rare true treasure. Thank you Joseph for everything.

I will alway's miss my dear friend Joe. He was alway's there for me and was like a father figure to me at times. Me and Joe lived together in five different locations and knew my family. Likewise I knew his mother and brother Fred. Joe even got me out of jail many years ago. I will never forget what a kind soul he was.

On behalf of the English family we would like to thank you all for your comforting words, thoughts and prayers for our beloved brother Joe.

His playful, witty and humorous spirit lives on in the hearts that loved him

I just learned about Joe's death and I'm so sorry. It's been years since I last saw Joe but we shared many of the same friends who care deeply for him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends...furry ones and all.

My brother Dennis Szul called me yesterday and told me about your brother's passing. I was shocked and saddened. As you know, Dennis and Joe were good friends and I can remember when Joe would come to our house on Stuyvesant Ave. It was always a pleasure to see him. Dennis is saddened by his LOSS. It was strange how he found out about the news and Dennis said it was Joe's way of telling him. I to think so. Oh, so sad ! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the English...

I just heard the news last night and am so shocked and saddened. Joe is someone that is always in my heart and will never be forgotten.
May he rest in peace. melissa stockman (beirut, lebanon)

Freddy,
I am so sorry for the loss of Joe. He was such a great kid. Such good memories I have of him from St. Francis School and Cathedral. We were in the same homeroom and remained friends for a long time. Know that Joe touched his friends in great ways. He was a very funny guy.

Hal,

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Deepest sympathies to you and your family.
