Not sure what to say?

We just found out from Allen Kidder about Joe’s passing. I’m so sad and send condolences to his wife and children. Joe was my instructor and a friend. He was a true professional, confident and respectful. He coached me and helped me so much to pass my test. Without him I would have been lost. I remember during my flight test he waited with my wife at Akron Airport. They were nervous and waiting and he laughed and said he felt like he was having a baby. I was so happy to make him proud of...

I am stunned to learn of Joe's passing. After I preached at his church, Alden Mennonite, several months ago, I was pleased that he lingered to talk with me, sharing old memories. A good, quiet-natured, gentle guy. May God's comfort surround his family in the weeks ahead.

So, so sorry for this hard loss. Sending hugs and prayers.

Faith, I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I cannot express my sadness for Faith, the children and grandchildren and for my Aunt Ginny.
When my brother Bernie died, Joe called each of us siblings separately to spend time with us hearing our pain, sharing memories of life growing up , and asking how he could help.
It meant the world to us , such a gentle loving cousin.

Joe was my first instructor pilot of many in my aviation career. He was a mentor and a man of extreme professionalism that set me on my path. He will be missed. My condolences to the family and many friends that Joe's life touched.

I worked with Joe Erb a number of years as I managed Akron Airport Jesson Field. Joe instructed many pilots in their chosen profession. Joe's wisdom and attitude were unsurpassed and a credit to CAF, Inc. He will be missed.

Faith, so sorry to hear of the sudden and u expected loss of Joe. You and your children and families are in our thoughts and prayers. There are no words that bring comfort In A time like this , but know we care and are thinking of you.

Faith, I’m so sorry. My sympathies to you and your family.
