SWOYERSVILLE — Joseph T. Evans, Ph.D., 91, of Swoyersville, died peacefully at home Monday, Oct. 28, 2013.

Born June 7, 1922, in Larksville and raised in Kingston, he was a son of the late Joseph and Verna Cidilko Evans.

Dr. Evans was my pre-med advisor at Scranton and I will always remember him as one of the most competent, compassionate, and kind teachers I ever had the honor of knowing. Class of 1982.

Dr. Evans was my pre-med advisor at the University of Scranton many years ago and I will always remember him as one of most kind, caring, and loving professors I ever had.
