Not sure what to say?

To The Fenwick Family, Our comfort and sincerest condolences for your loss. I and my family have been blessed by yours for a very long time. I once had an opportunity to talk with Dr. Fenwick. I thanked him for giving me three of greatest friends I have ever had (Chike, Jason, and J.R.). Together, they have been a threefold cord, acting as a lifeline during some of the worst storms in my life (Ecclesiastes 4:12); helping me to endure until I could get safely to shore. May God bless you in...

To the entire Fenwick Family I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked alongside Dr. Fenwick for 27 years at the Health Department, Toledo's first (and only African American Health Commissioner). He was an advocate for the community when it came to dental and medical health. Dr. Fenwick has a great sense of humor but, he was always a perfect gentleman. His wisdom and knowledge will be sorely missed by those live's he poured into.

Dr. Fenwick always seemed stern and no-nonsense when I went to visit my friend John. But later, I discovered he had a sense of humor, too. Rest in peace good doctor and my sincerest condolences to the family. May your sadness be not prolonged but replaced with joy at the remembrance of a life well lived. Best, CG Rowan

lESLIE, i AM SADDENED TO LEARN OF THE DEATH OF YOUR FATHER. ALTHOUGH I NEVER MET HIM, I FEEL AS THOUGH I GOT TO KNOW HIM THROUGH YOU AS YOU EMBODY HIS PHILOSOHY AND PRINCIPLES. DORCAS D. BOWLES

Sincerest regards to Soror Leslie, her siblings and family on the passing of Dr. Fenwick. An incredible man, indeed!

Continued prayers and thoughts to the family as you celebrate and honor the life of an incredible man.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fenwick while employed at the City of Toledo. I was better for it. If I could describe him with one word it would be "wise." He was warm, engaging and thoughtful. With his wife they were a perfect couple! His life was certainly a life well lived. RIP Doctor.

We always looked forward to speaking with Fr. Fenwick we visited Toledo. He spoke lovingly of Mrs. Fenwick and each of his children and their families. We will miss his friendly spirit and his story telling.

My condolences for Dr.Fenwick, he was always down to earth and willing to share his life knowledge at Drew Hale. l occasionally think of him when I smoke my pipe (tobacco). Thanks for being a beacon for the black community in Toledo, joey gray.
