Read MoreSo sad to hear of Joey Fitz's passing. Joe was a great guy that I knew in the 1970s. He helped me out as a starving older student by co-signing a student loan for me. He had faith in me as he did with most people. He always helped in whatever way he could. I know all forward thinking Virginians will miss him. My sympathy to his family.

Mr.Joseph Fitzpatrick was my friend and mentor. I was truly saddened to hear of his death from a friend in Norfolk. He was a true "Virginia Gentleman" who fought passionately to make the Commonwealth of Virginia a better place for all of its citizens. He will be missed by so many people. I extend my sincere sympathy to his family.
