Dear Mrs. Slocum,

I am saddened to learn of the passing of your dad, Joseph, on April 5, 2007. I remember him as a brave patient in facing his cancer who was always very appreciative of our every effort that we made in his behalf. Your devoted care of him was of great support and I am sure he will be missed by his many friends and you and your family in particular. Please accept our condolences in this trying time.
